    Everyone who worships the sun looks forward to a week or two over the cold winter season when they can get away and find warmer temperatures.

    You might think this is impossible to find in Europe and might not be willing to fly on a whim to far-flung places such as Dubai, Bali, or even The Caribbean.

    However, we will have you know that there are warm exotic places in January, in various parts of Europe.

    • Booking a trip for January can often be a great way to save money. Both flights and hotels tend to be less expensive due to lesser demand.
    • However, if you plan to visit a resort town, you should bear in mind that many bars and restaurants will be closed as it is off-season.
    • Be smart when packing. In some countries, the temperature might feel mild in January, but you can still burn. We always recommend bringing sun cream to stay healthy.
    • Remember that temperatures will drop in the evening. It might be best to bring a light jacket.

    10. Peloponnese, Greece – a Greek escape

    This highly underrated region of Greece is said to have warm temperatures in Europe in winter, and you should see for yourself. This region of Greece may be highly underrated compared to places like Santorini, but it’s said to have warm temperatures in Europe in winter.

    There is a lot to do there, including road tripping, boat trips, and hiking, which is ideal with average daily temperatures of around 16 C (61 F).
