Gambling on your smartphone or computer can be called the hype of the decade. Online gambling is being legalized in more and more countries and is enjoying great popularity.

5 of the most famous places for casinos in the world.

If there is also a casino bonus without deposit, satisfaction among gamblers is particularly high as the risk is even lower.

But where does the love of gambling actually come from? Is it really just the Las Vegas feeling that everyone wants to experience?

There are many reasons for this, and Vegas is not the only gambling stronghold in the world. In this article, we present the most interesting gambling metropolises and their casinos.

    Macao – the gambler’s paradise

As beautiful and charming as Las Vegas may be, it has to take a back seat to Macao. China’s Special Administrative Region is the world’s largest gamblers’ paradise and can boast the highest turnover per year.

Around 35 luxury casinos are located here, and with a visitor quota of 30 million people per year, it is a hive of activity. Macao is also affectionately referred to as the Chinese Las Vegas and the clientele is indeed predominantly from Asia.

Since most Chinese provinces have completely banned gambling, Macao is the legal paradise for gamblers. Around 45 billion dollars a year are turned over here, which is more than in any other gambling region in the world.

With the Venetian Macao, the Chinese gambling stronghold is also home to a record holder: spread over a total of 50,000 m² of floor space, the casino is considered the largest gambling establishment in the world.

There are 900 gaming tables available alone, and players can also try their luck at 3,000 slots. The name Venetian Macao was not chosen by chance.

The casino resort includes an exclusive hotel modelled after Venice in Italy. Even an artificial version of the Grand Canal was created here so that real gondola rides can be organized.

Sin City – Viva Las Vegas

Gambling and Las Vegas are two inseparable terms. The globally prevailing belief in quick wealth was decisively shaped by Sin City. Las Vegas attracts with its casinos like no other state in the USA.

In addition, there are many varied opportunities offered in Las Vegas. The legendary Strip, the chance to get married on every corner and other attractions are tourist magnets.

Through Hollywood blockbusters like The Hangover and Ocean’s Eleven, Sin City has also made it onto TV screens. Millions of tourists want to enjoy the atmosphere. The casino lifestyle can be enjoyed even though you are not a high roller.

Las Vegas is the most important hotspot for tourists in the United States. In 2014, more than 40 million people from all over the world arrived in Sin City.

More than 150,000 hotel rooms are available in the gigantic hotel complexes, often with an attached casino. Compared to Macao, Las Vegas can even look at more casinos; a total of 65 casinos are available in the city.

The most famous locations are probably the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, and the Venetian Casino. Typically, it’s not just about gambling alone but a combination of gambling, events, nightlife, and pure party.

Sin City generates attention by hosting the big poker events WPT and WSOP. For this reason alone, even celebrities like to travel to the famous state again and again.

    Germany – many famous casinos

Gambling has a long tradition in Germany and is still popular today. Some of the country’s casinos are over 100 years old and established themselves as early as the 18th century.

Probably the most famous gambling houses are the casinos in Wiesbaden, Bad Ems, Baden-Baden, and Hohensyburg. The latter is the largest establishment in Germany. In total, there are 64 state casinos in the country, which are a magnet for tourists.

In Baden-Baden, it is mainly tradition-conscious gamblers who feel at home there. The casino has existed since 1771 and is kept in a deliberately old-fashioned look.

While all casinos in Germany cannot compete with the size of Macao or Las Vegas, they are right up there in terms of elegance. Guests from the United States, in particular, like to come to Germany to gamble.

Atlantic City –  the second-largest stronghold in the USA

Atlantic City cannot match the fame and popularity of Las Vegas, but it is also one of the casino strongholds in the United States. Around 40 million people are drawn to the East Coast every year, and the largest and best-known casino is Borgota.

AC is also one of the record holders, as the world’s largest poker room is located here in the Trump Taj Mahal casino. Atlantic City is particularly popular with young people due to its numerous leisure activities.

Amusement parks, sports facilities, interesting museums, and exclusive star cuisine attract guests to AC. And if you’re already there, you can’t say no to a visit to the casino.

The elegant ambiance and the friendliness of the guests are impressive. Tourism is mainly from the surrounding American states, but European and Asian guests also come from far away.

Monaco –  especially famous for its old casino

Monaco is actually considered the destination of the rich and beautiful, but the famous Casino de Monte Carlo also makes the place a gambling paradise.

The famous casino has existed since the 19th century and offers a potpourri of elegance, style, and chic. At the latest since the cinematic blockbuster Casino Royale with James Bond, the casino is famous worldwide and has aroused the interest of numerous gamblers.

‘Once to Monaco‘ is the motto of many visitors, and they do not necessarily have to be rich and beautiful. Those who do not want to travel so far can thank the principality.

There is now a popular online version of the legendary casino, so the journey is completely unnecessary.

    Conclusion

Across the globe, there are renowned casinos and special locations. However, the classic gambling strongholds are actually to be found in China and the USA.

There is no other place in the world where people gamble as much and with as high a turnover as in Macao and Las Vegas.

Visitors to the two regions describe the feeling as unique, hardly comparable to land-based gambling halls, which are mostly just a collection of machines. The casino strongholds impress with charm, elegance, and a lot of style.
